Nathan Hayhoe

Director

Nathan has coordinated language programs in Taiwan, Colombia, Montreal and Toronto. His passion is for languages; he studied Linguistics at Concordia University and he speaks both Spanish and French. Email: [email protected]leaf.com

Violetta Wrona

Financial Officer

Violetta is our financial guru. She has been with Red Leaf since 2015 and is willing to answer any and all of your billing-related questions. Email: [email protected]

Andrea Cole

Programs Coordinator

Andrea overviews and supports our students and host families for the Academic and Summer Programs. Andrea joined the Red Leaf office in 2008. Hugh Crawford

Before joining Red Leaf, Hugh was an ESL teacher for 7 years. He spent 6 years in China teaching English to students of all ages and backgrounds and has worked with a variety of groups in Toronto. Erica Derrickson

Prior to joining Red Leaf, Erica worked in Japan for over 12 years. There she taught English, managed educational programs and coordinated international workshops. Now fluent in Japanese language and culture, Erica understands what it takes to adjust smoothly to life in a foreign country. Email: [email protected]

Alexandra Lappala

Academic Programs

Alex has extensive experience working with youth in both a mentorship capacity and within youth leadership programs. She has led multiple youth trips to New Orleans and has also organized and supervised Algonquin canoe trips for over 100 young leaders. Her coordination experience working within the summer camp and youth development world give her a passion for people and providing an unforgettable experience.7

Nao Wyatt

Homestay Team

Nao worked in Toronto as an activities coordinator for several years before moving to Japan and taking on a role as a study abroad counsellor. Upon her return to Canada, she worked as a Local Coordinator for the Newmarket region, coordinating immersion experiences for visiting groups. She now works in the Red Leaf office as part of the Homestay Team.

Lorraine Gonsalves

Homestay Team

Lorraine begins her career with Red Leaf as a Host Family. She welcomed each student with love and dedication, and was quickly promoted to Local Coordinator for the Durham Region, and then to the Homestay Management Team in the Red Leaf Office. She is responsible for all things Homestay and is dedicated to ensuring that each student welcomed to Canada is placed in a caring and safe environment.
